SWFL Gator Club Celebrates International Gator Day at Valerie’s House
Families at Valerie’s House recently spent the day baking Gator-themed cookies alongside members of the SWFL Gator Club during a special “Baking with Gators” event at the Fort Myers Family is Forever Home.

The event celebrated International Gator Day, a worldwide day of service that brings together members of the University of Florida community to give back locally.
Throughout the afternoon, volunteers baked cookies, connected with kids and teens, and spent time with Valerie’s House families while sharing more about the spirit of the Gator community.
Representatives from the City of Fort Myers, the SWFL Gator Club, and Valerie’s House all joined in on the fun, creating a day filled with connection, laughter, and support for grieving families across Southwest Florida.
Valerie’s House provides peer grief support groups, mentoring, and counseling support for kids and teens after the death of someone they love.
A big thank you to the SWFL Gator Club and everyone who helped make the day special for our families.
