A Night of Royal Smiles: Third Annual Prince & Princess Party at the Family Is Forever Home
At Valerie’s House, our Third Annual Prince & Princess Party at the Family Is Forever Home in Fort Myers was a night where kids could simply be kids — surrounded by joy, laughter, and love.
Families came together for an evening of magic, music, and make-believe, where each child felt like royalty. With help from generous community partners, our young princes and princesses were pampered, celebrated, and reminded that they are deeply loved. Thank you to everyone who made this unforgettable night possible.

One of the most moving moments came during the evening dinner, when Valerie’s House CEO Angela Melvin invited Justin Layne to share his story. Justin lost his father six years ago and remembers how difficult it was to step through the doors of Valerie’s House for the first time. Over time, the program became a place where he could face his grief. Today, in a full-circle moment, Justin mentors grieving kids, walking alongside them as someone who understands.
Events like this remind us why community matters. We are deeply grateful to the Calusa Sportsman Foundation, the generous sponsors, and everyone who showed up to make this year’s Inshore Benefit such a success. Together, we are giving children hope for the future.
