Aaron and Amber White: Making a Difference at Valerie’s House

At Valerie’s House, we’re fortunate to have incredible people who make our mission possible. Aaron and Amber White are among those who truly embody the spirit of giving and connection.

Their journey with Valerie’s House began when Angela spoke at an awards ceremony at Bishop Verot, where their daughter was being honored. “I was so happy about it because I’ve been seeing this on the news. I’ve wanted to learn more about it,” Amber shared.

From attending the soft opening of the Family is Forever Home to volunteering and even cooking their famous family spaghetti sauce for group nights, the Whites have become deeply involved. “You spend just a few minutes with the kids here, and you just fall in love with what Valerie’s House does,” Aaron said.

Aaron also serves as a mentor to one of our Valerie’s House children, inspired by a story that touched his heart. “There’s not a lot of male mentors,” Aaron shared. “So when Angela first mentioned that to me, I said, oh, that’s something I gotta do.”

Amber shared their passion for giving back, stemming from a deep understanding of the importance of family. “God has blessed our family and the ability to have both parents raise our kids,” Amber said. “I have to support this because I never wanted that loss for my girls.”

What strikes Aaron most about Valerie’s House is the way kids who come through the program often return to give back. “That speaks volumes to what this organization meant to them. The fact that they want to come back and serve others because it made such a big difference in their lives.”

To Aaron and Amber—thank you for your time, your mentorship, your meals, and most importantly, your hearts. You are a vital part of the Valerie’s House family, and we’re so grateful for all you do.
