Rooted in Hope: Spring at Valerie’s House Ends with Gratitude, Growth, and Healing

As we close out the 2025 spring semester at Valerie’s House, our hearts are full—of hope, healing, and deep gratitude.

At every one of our locations—from Charlotte County to Fort Myers to Naples—we’ve walked alongside grieving children and their caregivers as they navigated one of life’s hardest journeys. And while each family’s path is unique, this semester reminded us again and again: we’re not meant to walk it alone.

To mark the end of the semester, all of our families came together for a special, shared activity—the Family Flower Pot Project. Each family decorated a flower pot in memory of their loved one, writing heartfelt messages inside before planting daisies, forget-me-nots, and other blooms. It was more than a craft—it was a symbol of growth through grief, and the love that continues to live on.

Just like these flowers will grow through the summer, so too will the strength and connection planted within each of our families this semester.

To every family who opened their hearts and let us walk with you: thank you. Your trust means everything to us. It is an honor to be a part of your grief journey—and to witness your courage, vulnerability, and growth.

Group nights return in August, but our support never stops. We’re always here if you need us.

Until then, we hope this summer brings rest, peace, and continued healing—for you and your family.
