On March 1, 8-year-old Christian, a child from Valerie’s House, stepped onto the field at JetBlue Park to throw the first pitch at a Boston Red Sox spring training game—a moment made possible by Hooters.
Christian’s experience is part of Hooters’ commitment to giving back to the community, including monthly visits from their Fort Myers and Port Charlotte employees and regularly sponsoring dinners for Valerie’s House families on group nights.
“We enjoy sharing this experience with kids from our community charity partners,” said Kristi Quarles, director of marketing at Hooters of South Florida, in an interview with Gulf Coast News.
With Hooters team members cheering him on, Christian took the mound for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, showing the power of community support in helping children heal.
We can’t thank Hooters enough for their generosity and for making this day so special for Christian and his family!
