Thank You to FOX 4 and Victoria Scott for Highlighting Valerie’s House in Charlotte County

We are incredibly grateful to FOX 4 and reporter Victoria Scott for their amazing coverage of Valerie’s House Charlotte County. Their recent story beautifully highlighted the impact our home in Punta Gorda has on children and families grieving the loss of a loved one.

Victoria’s compassionate storytelling centered on middle schooler Bryan Notorfrancesco, a member of Valerie’s House, who lost his mother to a drug overdose. Through his experiences, viewers were given a firsthand look at how our programs help children like Bryan navigate their grief in a supportive environment. His touching words, "I like it here. I really like that it’s OK for you to give out your emotions," capture the essence of what we strive to offer—a safe space where children can openly express their feelings and work through their grief.

Bryan’s aunt, Andrea Notorfrancesco, also shared how our program has helped Bryan grow emotionally and physically. This feature is a testament to the importance of Valerie’s House in the lives of grieving families in our region.

We are especially thankful to Victoria Scott for not only telling Bryan's story but for helping raise awareness of the greater need for grief support in Southwest Florida. As our Founder and CEO, Angela Melvin, shared in the interview, there are thousands of children in our community who are grieving, and our mission is to ensure that each of them has access to the care they need.

Thanks to the dedicated efforts of Victoria Scott and FOX 4, more families will learn about Valerie’s House and the support we provide. We are deeply appreciative of their partnership in helping us spread our message of healing and hope to those who need it most.

We invite you to watch the full report and learn more about how you can support grieving children in our community. Together, we can make sure no child grieves alone.
