Celebrating the Journey of Madison McKinnon: A Feature in the Cape Coral Breeze
/We are thrilled to share that one of our remarkable Valerie's House teens, Madison McKinnon, has been featured in the Cape Coral Breeze as she embarks on an exciting new chapter in her life!
Recently, we announced that Madison, a dedicated member of our Valerie's House family, has been awarded a scholarship to attend Penn State University. This achievement is particularly meaningful as Madison’s late mother, who passed away in 2023 after a battle with cancer, also attended Penn State. Following her mother's passing, Madison found support and solace at Valerie's House, where she became an integral part of our community.
Madison’s story has touched many, and her connection to Cape Coral made it fitting for the Cape Coral Breeze to spotlight her journey. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the publication and to author Meghan Bradbury for capturing Madison's story so beautifully.
As Madison prepares to follow in her parents' footsteps at Penn State, we wish her the best of luck and know that her strength and resilience will guide her through this new chapter.
