Florida Everblades Fundraiser Brings Community Together for Valerie’s House

Valerie’s House families, supporters, and volunteers came together for an unforgettable night at Hertz Arena, where the Florida Everblades hosted a special fundraiser to support grieving children and families. The event wasn’t just about hockey—it was about connection, community, and raising awareness for childhood grief support.

One of the highlights of the night? Swampee, the Everblades’ beloved mascot, proudly wearing a Colors of Emotion mask at the Valerie’s House table, helping bring attention to the emotions kids experience after losing a loved one.

This incredible event wouldn’t have been possible without the Florida Everblades, who selected Valerie’s House as the fundraiser’s beneficiary, and Hooters, which helped boost ticket sales through a special promotion. Their generosity, along with the overwhelming support from attendees, helps ensure no child has to grieve alone.
