Jeff Miloff
/Valerie’s House is excited to welcome Jeff Miloff as the newest member of the Board of Directors.
Jeff is originally from the east coast of Florida and moved to the Fort Myers area with his wife after serving six years in the U.S. Coast Guard.
He is known for his extensive history in the real estate industry and currently works under Miloff Aubuchon Realty Group.
In addition to his real estate career, Jeff is also passionate about charity work. He served as president of two Realtor Associations and received the Humanitarian of the Year award in 2010 and 2015. He also served as a board member of the Ronald McDonald House Charities SWFL and was president from 2011 to 2012.
Jeff is now an active Valerie’s House volunteer and is a mentor to a young boy in the Val’s PALs Mentor Program.
“I love the mission of Valerie’s House,” Jeff said. “I’m excited about this opportunity to help grow the organization.”
When Jeff discovered Valerie’s House, he knew it was the perfect place to volunteer his time due to the personal loss he experienced as a child.
Jeff’s father died while on a business trip in Panama City when Jeff was only eight years old. He left behind a loving wife and five children, Jeff of whom was the middle child.
Jeff said his family persevered thanks to help from supportive neighbors and friends in the neighborhood.
“At an early age, we knew we needed to help my mother through this very difficult time,” Jeff said. “She was a very strong lady and made sure that as a family, we all helped out and kept a positive attitude.”
Jeff uses his own story of loss to connect with the children at Valerie’s House on a personal level.
The child Jeff mentors, Landon, also lost his father. The two use their shared experience to heal from their losses together. The two also bond through their love of sports.
Valerie’s House is so grateful to Jeff for the impact he is making on Landon and the other children at Valerie’s House.
“The community is in need of more grief centers and places to seek help after a loss,” Jeff said. “Our family would have loved to have an organization like Valerie’s House to go to.”
