Valerie's House Founder Finalist for 2016 Person of Year

Angela Melvin, the founder of Valerie's House, is one of three finalists selected by The News-Press for the honor of Person of the Year.

Angela started Valerie’s House in January of 2016. Her mother, Valerie, died when she was 10 years old. There no grief support services in Southwest Florida at that time. It became a driving force in Angela’s life to fill that void so that no child would grieve alone.
