The Valerie's House Forever Home in Lee County has officially broken ground on June 24th at 3551 Shoemaker Lane in Fort Myers!
We appreciate everyone who came out to share this special day with us, including Fort Myers Mayor Kevin Anderson. Valerie's House is happy to announce that construction is now underway, and the house is expected to be completed by summer 2023.
Our children made their own grief first-aid kits!
The focus of this activity is to allow the children to discuss the difficult feelings of grief and ways to help them heal. It's important to remember that our grief journey is unique to each of us. Group facilitators discuss various in-depth coping strategies linked to each of the five senses to encourage the kids to process their feelings. Sometimes emotions can be really intense, and a grief first-aid kit can help ground us.
