Thanks to the generosity of so many in the Southwest Florida community, Diane and Evan moved back into their renovated home in the Summer of 2023.  So many people came together to help this Valerie’s House family, including Southwest Florida furniture and design company, Clive Daniel Home, which furnished their entire home at no cost, and Wayne Wiles Flooring, which provided the installation of brand-new flooring throughout. 

“We are eternally grateful for our Valerie’s House family and all of the support we have been given through this entire year,” Diane said.  “We don’t know where we would have been without Valerie’s House.”

Diane and Evan continue to be an active family on the Valerie’s House Monday night Dad loss group.  As the one-year anniversary of losing Dad is only months before the anniversary of Ian, although their home is repaired, their grief is only just beginning.

 “We have a long road ahead of us,” Diane said. “But we know we aren’t alone.”
